Updated 20 April 2025
Overview
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how AIMAITES Ltd. ("The Company") and our affiliate ("we", "our", or "us") process Tuition Data of individuals who use our services, including our platforms AITutoring.me, PROTutoring.me, PROTeaching.me ("Platforms"), websites, mobile applications, and other online services (jointly, the "Services"). This Policy also explains your rights and choices regarding how we use your Tuition Data, including how you can access or update certain information about yourself.
In this Policy, "Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, such as an individual's name, address, telephone number, or email address. In certain jurisdictions, this may also be referred to as “Personal Information”.
The Personal Data We Handle and Why
Categories of Data We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data depending on our relationship with you:
- Client Data: This includes details like names, contact information, payment data, and anything else necessary to provide our services.
- Visitor Data: This includes website activity, IP addresses, browser details, and similar metrics collected automatically for site and application performance and improvement purposes.
The Services obtain the information you provide when you register for a Platform account. When you register with us and use the Platform(s), you will provide:
- your email address and password;
- whether or not you allow The Company to use your images to improve the Platform marking engine;
- transaction-related information, such as credit card information, when you make purchases or respond to any offers;
- information you provide us when you contact us directly for support;
- information you enter into our system when using our Service(s), such as contact information;
- lesson recordings for safeguarding;
- audio and video to improve our services;
- data on how you use the digital whiteboard during online lessons.
We may also use the information you provided us to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices, and marketing promotions.
In addition, the Services may collect certain information automatically: the type of mobile or desktop device you use, the IP address of your mobile or desktop device, your mobile or desktop operating system, the type of mobile or desktop Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use our Services. No other information is collected from your device.
Why We Process Data
We handle personal data for a variety of legitimate purposes, including but not limited to:
- Delivering and improving our products and services.
- Fulfilling orders and managing customer accounts.
- Providing technical and customer support.
- Complying with legal obligations.
- Safeguarding users on the platform.
This Policy does not apply when we offer our Services and process Personal Data on behalf of enterprise/business customers. We act as a service provider/processor for those relationships and our use of that data is governed by our customer agreements.
For the Digital Twin Policy, we are required to process your data to create a digital twin based on you, for use in our services to enable you to earn residual income.
Who We Share Your Data With
We may need to share your personal data with third parties in certain scenarios, including:
- Service Providers: Companies that assist with essential services such as payment processing, hosting, and marketing.
- Business Collaborators: Partners we work with on joint projects or promotional efforts.
- Authorities: When required by law, we may disclose data to government or regulatory bodies.
The Platforms integrate with third-party APIs (Mathpix and ElevenLabs) to enhance their handwritten text recognition and text-to-voice respectively. User images and relevant documents are sent to these systems to generate appropriate answers. These answers are then presented to the user within the app. Third-party service providers have a data retention policy of up to 30 days but do not use your data for training.
If you don’t want to have AI-enabled tools for automated marking, you can always turn it off on your Settings page. If you do not want to use the digital twin service, you can change this in The Platform(s) settings page for Tutor accounts. Doing this will ensure that we do not use your data to create a digital twin for you. If you would not like your audio data shared with third parties, you can also change this on the Platform(s) settings page.
Collection of Real-time Location Information
These Platforms do not collect precise information about the location of your mobile or desktop device, but they do collect IP addresses to protect against spamming.
Children
We do not use the Services to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us at safeguarding@ai-tutoring.me. We will delete such information within a reasonable time.
We cannot offer the service of creating a digital twin to anyone who does not have the right to work in the UK, and they must be over 18.
Your Rights and Choices
Access to Your Data
Residents of the UK have the right to request access to their personal data, as well as to amend or delete it.
